From the desk of the Tailgate-in-Chief (ATL Office)...

Good Afternoon! Well the big game that we have all been eagerly awaiting is finally here! As a quick update, we are intending to tailgate in the parking lot that is located adjacent to and just north of the Varsity Drive-In parking deck. The parking lot is located in the northwest quadrant of the intersection of Spring and Ponce de Leon. Look for the Georgia Southern and Sigma Nu flag poles! If you miss them you probaly started tailgating too early.

A few of us will be there at 7:00 AM to ensure we secure parking. If something should change and we have to relocate, a mass text to all that replied to the questionnaire will be sent. If you have a cell number that you would like to provide for the purpose of communicating with me tomorrow please send me a note.

If you are coming and you have not responded yet - come on - just let us know. Send me you mobile number, so we can send you any updates. We looking forward to spending time with you tomorrow. Save the date! The match-up of the GSU Eagles at the Georgia Tech Ramblin’ Wreck in Atlanta. Be there for our tailgate & game! It is Sat., Sep. 13th at 12:00 noon for game time; 9:00 am for tailgate time. We are:

• Exploring big tailgate ideas and near finalization!
• Talking to the GSU Ticket office about a Sigma Nu block of tickets. DONE
• Talking to the Gamma Alpha (GT) Chapter, a Rock Chapter, about a joint tailgate event.
• Excited to see all of our alumni a month before Homecoming 2014
• Want our alumni to get more information about and sign-up for Homecoming by clicking here.
• Tickets are on your own at this point.

UPDATE ON TAILGATE-AT-TECH (as of 09/09):

• Right now the plan for the Tailgate-at-Tech is we will meet at the Varsity back lot area (along Spring Street just above the restaurant) - there are tailgate spots there. Due to the early nature of the game (12 Noon) there is not a lot of time to cook beforehand, but many alumni want to tailgate afterwards too! We are talking to the Georgia Tech chapter/alumni, but we have not finalized that yet.
• We had a great discussion with the Georgia Tech chapter Sunday and they are very interested in having us to their house for the tailgate. They are about 800ft from Bobby Dodd (a Sigma Nu) stadium. Their alumni will be there too! We will work out the details - the biggest being parking and any costs. Alumnus Brent Myers is working on the plan to see if it is feasible. More to come in the next 2 days, but we will send out final details either way.
• We decided to stick with The Varsity as it was easier to access for our alumni.
• We will be sending out a detailed set of information/newsletter/email likely Thursday. More to follow, but look for the Flags.
